Elements Shopping Malls in Hong Kong embarked on a unique collaboration with Jelly Belly, commissioning Michelle to reimagine one of Van Gogh's renowned masterpieces, "Portrait of Dr. Gachet," using a vibrant and unexpected medium: Jelly Belly jelly beans.
This innovative project aimed to infuse a message of "Sweet Happiness" into the originally melancholic artwork, inspiring the younger generation to unleash their creativity and pursue their dreams.
Creation
The final result was a breathtakingly large-scale artwork, spanning an impressive four meters in length, proudly displayed at one of the central atriums within the Elements Shopping Mall in Hong Kong.
The painting was meticulously constructed using 100,000 vibrantly colored Jelly Belly beans, allowing shoppers to witness the captivating transformation day by day as the masterpiece gradually took shape.
Throughout the creation process, Michelle collaborated with a talented group of young art students, fostering their creativity and providing them with invaluable hands-on experience as they contributed to this colossal and inspiring project.
