A Life size Colin Firth as Mr Darcy Cake
Celebrating 25th Anniversary of the Pride and Prejudice mini series
Brief
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Pride and Prejudice mini-series, a life-size cake of Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy was created and unveiled at The National Trust property Lyme Park in Cheshire. This picturesque estate served as the inspiration for the character’s home Pemberley in the mini-series and where the famous lake scene was filmed.
Creation
The creation of this edible masterpiece took Michelle over 200 hours. It’s made from layers of sponge cake filled with vanilla buttercream and coated in chocolate ganache. To bring this “delicious-Darcy” creation to life, over 20kg of flour, 20kg of butter, and 45kg of sugar were used.
