We're often tasked with turning wildest dreams into delicious reality. Our latest creation for a glamorous London birthday party was exactly that!

Imagine a birthday celebration steeped in the glitz and grandeur of the Academy Awards. For such an iconic theme, a simple cake just wouldn't do. Our client envisioned something spectacular: a giant, life-sized gold Oscar statue cake.

It all began with a sketch, then Michelle planned and created the structure inside this lifesize human creation.

This impressive cake weighs in at an astounding 60 kgs, requiring 30 kgs of sugar and mountains of rich buttercream.

Creating the cake is only half the adventure. The next big hurdle? Transportation. Given its impressive height and the iconic top-heavy design of the Oscar statue, moving this creation was an incredibly delicate operation. One wrong bump, and disaster could strike!

The moment of truth came as the cake was safely delivered to the stunning Emerald Theatre near Embankment in the heart of London. Seeing the Oscar cake standing tall and proud, bathed in the event's glamorous lighting, was truly a moment of immense pride and relief.
