Tequila Rose Bottle Cake

Brief

Tequila Rose, a strawberry cream liqueur requested a hyper-realistic cake made out of Tequila Rose infused flavour to be placed next to the real bottle for a product launch and viral video.

Creation

Tequila Rose infused sponge cakes with buttercream covered in fondant with the label made out of sugar printed paper and edible inks.

Tequila Rose Vanilla Sponge Cake Recipe

  • 120g butter

  • 120g caster sugar

  • 125g self raising flour

  • 1 egg

  • Gel pink food colouring

Method:

Preheat the oven at 175C. Lined a 6" square tin with greaseproof paper.

Mix all the ingredients together but add the food colouring after all the ingredients are mixed together into a batter consistency.

Pour the batter into the tin, and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.

Let it cool down completely before decorating.

Tequila Rose Vanilla Buttercream

100g Unsalted butter (room temperature)

100g Icing sugar

2 tbsp Tequila Rose

gel pink food colouring

Method:

Mix butter until soft using electric mixer, add icing sugar and continue mixing until fluffy.

Add Tequila Rose and food colouring.
