Replica of McCallister’s family home from themovie Home Alone in gingerbread
Brief
Celebrating 30th Anniversary of the Movie, Disney commissioned food artist Michelle Wibowo to recreate the movie's iconic McCallister's family home complete with edible characters and details from the movie.
Creation
It took Michelle more than 300 hours create complete with 63 trees, 33 windows, and 14 pizza boxes out of gingerbread and icing sugar. The result? a 1.7m long spectacular gingerbread house full of Easter eggs from the movie, including Kevin’s treehouse, a tire swing, the Oh-Kay Plumbing and Heating van, the delivery car for Little Nero’s pizza, and tons of boxes from the restaurant. Meanwhile, Marv and Harry are having their own problems while trying to break in.
This amazing gingerbread house was donated to a London’s Children Hospital for them to enjoy during the festive season.
